“If you get simple beauty and naught else, you get about the best thing God invents…” writes Robert Browning.  It is the beauty in something that delights me whether in nature or man made that draws me to paint and attempt to connect the viewer with what I see and feel.

While I work in other media, presently I primarily work in Watercolor as I enjoy its portability and its quality of transparency and luminosity and yet also its opaqueness. I love that through experimentation or glazing and layering different effects can be achieved.It is a challenge and one from which I can continue to learn.
